Status Update

If momentarily I couldn't recall your name, does that mean I'm nearly healed?

If you suddenly pops into my mind and I can easily dismiss the thought/memory, does that mean I'm nearly healed?

But the sight of you still reminds me that I hate your guts. Hahaha...

A self-toast to my progress.

I'm eagerly waiting for the day when I forgive myself for being a fool. Cheers.

365 Songs: Song #8

Finally a happy song. Haha.. Overheard this on the radio, and like it. Actually there's a MV for it, but as usual, Fish Leong's MV are interwoven with story/dialogues inside, and I think that's actually a distraction. So here's the song-only version.

Still under the fever of You From Another Star, here's the theme song from this popular hit Kdrama. Where can I find my own alien? Hahaha.. Kim Soo-hyun and Jeon Ji-hyun are fantastic!

365 Songs: Song #4

Singing for lonely souls. The lyrics are simple and repetitive, yet you can feel the sadness mixed with just that tiny little bit of hopefulness.

為你的寂寞唱歌 [wèi nǐ de jìmò chànggē]  - Jia Jia

365 Songs: Song #3

This song is by A-mei. Apparently someone wrote an English version of this song, with different lyrics of course. It's called She's Gone. Well, the English one is not bad, but I'm more in tune with this one: 解脱 (Relief). Enjoy :)

解脱 [Jiětuō]

Your body knows you best

When you ate something bad, your body will make you vomit it out.
When you touched something that burns, your body will jerk away.
When you are exhausted, your body will make you drowsy.
When you encounter danger, your body will prepare you for fight or flight.

365 Songs: Song #2

I guess I should explain a bit more about the songs that I will share here. Alright, the previous song (Song #1) original singer is not Jacky Cheung. I just like his version better. Haha.. The title translates to "love me then don't leave me". I like its catchy chorus.

Song #2 would be Jay Chou's 星晴 [xīng qíng]. The title is some sort of a word play. A direct translation on each of the words would be "star clear" or more grammatically correct, "clear star". But its pronunciation is similar to "mood" (心情 [xīn qíng]).

365 Songs: Song #1

New project!

A song a day.

Since I listen to music almost everyday, I'll pick one that I like best on that day and share with you. :)

I'm a bit of the oldies fans. Hahaha.. So please bear with me. Oldies are gold! Woot!

Life is a Masquerade

Mask.

Everyone have at least one.

Is it bad to hide your true self behind masks?

10 Things I Hate About You

1. You accuse me of being a workaholic while you go off working during weekends.
2. You are more fussy about your hair than I am with mine.
3. You get upset when I pay for the meal.

The Ride of your Life

Riding the train to work one day got me thinking, life is like a train. Well, a train that keeps on going and no turning back. A one-way train perhaps? Haha..
  • If you miss a station, then that's it.
  • At each station, people come in or go out.
  • To reach a particular station, you have several routes to choose from.
  • Each station has different scenery or environment.
  • The speed is constant.
How it mirrors life:
  • Missed opportunities and chances.
  • You meet new people and you say goodbye to some at various stages of your life.
  • To achieve your goals, usually there are more than one way to do it. (Even if you have yet found your options at the moment)
  • At each stages of your life, your view changes. The way you look at things is different.
  • Time passes no matter what.
Hmm.. What do you think?

I'm back?

Wow. It's been 4 years since I've wrote something here. That long, huh? I didn't notice... Guess life takes up your focus unknowingly, and BAM! It's XX years already.

Anyway, I'm back! (I think? Haha..) Looking back at the old blog, I've changed quite a bit. Example, my old wishlist.
  • Try a Japanese buffet - Tried it. More than once. Hehe..
  • More books to read - My books are now chasing up on me.
  • Visit Japan - Ohaiyo.
  • Get a boyfriend - Oh. This.
Hmm. The last one. Well, I guess there is no beating around the bush about this. I have to confess, I have hidden agenda of coming back to here again. I've been controlling this anger that grows whenever my idle brain strays to the memories of my ex. I guess I'm still stuck at the anger phase of a break-up. I know, I need time. But I think what I need most is, an outlet to detox my brain/memories. I need to voice all that anger out from my heart. And I thought of here.

I know no one want to hear me whine or cry or rage, I'm sorry. I'll try to keep it light and short, hopefully. I'm not trying to be an expert in moving on or in love. Heck, are there such people out there? I'm just trying to find back the summer that I lost when my heart was stamped on.

I think that's quite enough melodrama for the day. Haha.. Til the next post, keep your chin up and smile!

By the way, this is the 100th post published. Maybe I should celebrate with a chocolate bar or something. Hahaha..

P.S. Here is a screenshot of the old blog in case you have forgotten how it looks like. Hehe..
